Black Teflon Plastic Clips
Fishers decking and Flooring’s black tephlon clips are specifically designed for our composite wood deck planks. They have successfully been installed throughout Africa for more than a decade, without any product failure claims. Our superior black tephlon clip eliminates they need to use a stainless steel clip which is substantially more expensive.
Once fitted to the deck the clip leaves a 5mm gap between the deck planks, which is an essential aspect of the decks aesthetic. The clip allows the plank to expand and contract as needed while maintaining the planks position.
The clip is secured to the deck structure with a screw inserted into the screw whole .The pressure applied by the clips keep the planks in place. Once installed, all clips and screws are hidden below the surface of the deck creating a seamless finish. The black tephlon clip with it’s black electroplated screw is the best choice, providing superior aesthetics and functionality.
Narrow Gap Stainless Steel Clip
Fishers Decking and Flooring offer a narrow gap stainless steel clip. This clip reduces the gap between the planks from 5mm to 2mm.The narrow gap stainless steel clip is more suited for installation applications where one wants a deck aesthetic ,however requires the gap to be narrower for specific reasons.
The narrow gap stainless steel clip is more suited for venue installation applications where women with high heel shoes will be using the deck, the narrow gap between the palnks will elimate there high heels being caught between the deck planks.
This narrow gap clip is also suited for tented bush camp installations where a floor like surface is required but a deck aesthetic look and feel is needed, using silicone to seal the 2mm gap completing a closed in floor with the aesthetic look of deck this will eliminate insects, rodents and snakes from being able to access the tent through the floor.

The latest addition to our collection is composite wood Fluted Panelling which utilises a specially designed stainless steel clip unique to this product.
This system boasts a hidden clip fixing application resulting in a seamless finish where the Fluted Panelling looks like one continual section as if it was a single piece of material. Our Composite wood Fluted Panelling stainless steel clips are only compatible with our fluted panelling planks and cannot be used with any other clip system.

The Self Drilling Tech Screw
Fishers Decking and Flooring self-drilling tech screw is manufactured from 410 A grade stainless steel that has been electroplated in black for a sleek look.
With its self-drilling technology, this screw is able to penetrate steel up to 2mm thick without drilling a pilot hole. For steel that has a thicker wall thickness, we suggest drilling a 3mm pilot hole first. The black colour of the screw compliments the black colour of the tephlon clip, making it an ideal choice for those who value aesthetics.
The self-drilling teck screw is 40mm long and has a 4mm shaft which features a square head to ensure its longevity and protection against any potential damage or stripping. The square head assists one should you need to remove any composite wood deck planks if there is a problem under the deck structure ,for example a burst pipe or if something of value has fallen through the spacing
between the deck planks.
The Screw for a Timber Structure
Fishers Decking and Flooring offer a screw for timber deck structures. Manufactured from 410 A grade stainless steel that has been electroplated in black. The black colour of the screw compliments the black tephlon clip making it an aesthetically pleasing option.
The screw is 50mm long with a 4mm shaft which feature a square head to ensure longevity and protection against any potential damage or stripping. It is a durable and reliable option for any timber deck structure.
As mentioned throughout the website Fishers Decking and Flooring only use galvanised steel for our deck structures inland where the self-drilling tech screw is used. For deck structures at the coast or close to the sea we would construct a timber deck structure due to the salt in the air which is damaging to galvanised steel.
The Pan Head Self Drilling Tech Screw
As mentioned throughout the website IMPORTANTLY, the panhead screw is the ONLY screw that can be used to fix composite wood fascia planks and composite wood wall cladding in place. The shaft of the screw is 38mm long and 4mm thick with a star head it is easily installed. The panhead of the screw ensures that the screw cannot penetrate into our composite wood fascia planks and composite wood wall cladding planks where the wall thicknesses do not allow for countersinking into these composite profiles. The panhead of the screw must sit on top of the material and NOT inside the material, this will avoid the material from cracking. IMORTANTLY failure to use our panhead screws with our composite wood fascia planks and composite wood wall cladding will void any guarantee on these products.

In this image to the left of the pillar the standard black tephlon clip has been used ,and to the right of the pillar the narrow gap stainless steel clip has been used .
The finished installation of the inside of the tents one can see how with the narrow gap stainless steel clip and a line of silicone the desired end result has been achieved . The external decking ties up and into perfectly.
